Top prospects at Under Armour Classic

CHICAGO -- This year's version of the Under Armour All-American Baseball Classic at Wrigley Field was largely a rehash of what we've seen earlier this summer, with some depth in the prep arms but a lot of question marks among the position players. As the last major showcase event of the summer, the Under Armour game suffered a little because the players showed clear signs of fatigue, making it better as a supplementary look at these guys than as a primary one.

• Once gain the best velocity belonged to Shepherd, Texas, right-hander Tyler Kolek, who reached 97 mph with excellent downhill plane and showed a very sharp 78-80 mph breaking ball with tight rotation. At 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds, Kolek is physically mature already and would be a candidate to move a little more quickly through the low minors than a typical high school right-hander, and the velocity is already there.
