I'm back from five days in the Arizona Fall League, and can say with reasonable confidence that the talent level in the league is way down this year, especially on the position player side. With Victor Robles and Francisco Mejia both staying with their parent clubs during the division series, there were just three hitters from my midseason top 50 prospects list on Opening Day rosters, and one of those, Ronald Acuna, got hurt in the second plate appearance I saw from him. (He's back in action now.)

Other top prospects, including Kyle Lewis and Tyler Beede, are on rosters but didn't play in Week 1. So the result was that the trip was less productive than usual. I covered most of the important names in my first update, and here's my final one, running through a few other significant names I caught while in the desert.

Atlanta picked up Alex Jackson, the No. 6 overall pick in 2013, in an offseason trade with Seattle after the Mariners soured on the catcher-turned-outfielder, and the 21-year-old responded to the trade with his best offensive season to date, hitting .267/.328/.480 between High-A and Double-A.
