This year’s Futures Game features the No. 1 prospect in the minors, Mets shortstop Amed Rosario, along with several others from my top 10. It also includes a few of the biggest risers in the minors from this season: Phillies second baseman Scott Kingery, who has hit 22 homers this year between Double- and Triple-A, after hitting just five last year in A-ball; Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna, already in Double-A at the age of 19; and Yankees outfielder Estevan Florial, who is hitting .300/.385/.509 in Low-A at 19 and I believe is the first Haitian-born player to appear in the Futures Game. There are 12 players taken in the first round of the draft and at least nine players who received $1 million or more as international free agents.

I offered some initial reactions to the rosters on June 29, when they were announced, and here are some other highlights, including players I'm particularly interested in seeing on Sunday.
