Some quick thoughts on a few of the minor trades we've seen this week:

• I assume the Mets' acquisition of AJ Ramos is looking towards next year, when they'll need an Addison Reed replacement whether they trade Reed now (please and thank you) or let him walk as a free agent. But for 2017, it doesn't make a ton of difference. Ramos is a solid-average reliever, very heavily reliant on his slider, with a long and consistent track record of high strikeout and walk rates.
